What We Do

Volunteer Markham helps build a stronger, more thoughtful community through innovative programs that inspire, inform, and connect volunteers with the organizations that need them.

Through our online platform, we connect people of all ages to valuable volunteer opportunities to build social capital in the communities we serve.

To date, Volunteer Markham has connected volunteers to over 300 of our non-profit members.

Empathy In Action

National Volunteer Week 2022 launched this year’s theme “Empathy In Action”. Volunteers can be empathetic, but volunteering also helps us develop empathy – building our capacity to work collectively and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive society.
