DESCRIPTION:Friday November 4 – Saturday December 10\, 2022\nReception: Friday\, November 4\, 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Remarks begin at 7:30. Some artists in attendance. Light refreshments. All welcome\, admission free. \n“work from home” is a group exhibition by past and present art instructors\, volunteers\, Board members\, and staff of Latcham Art Centre. Pairing interviews from each contributing artist with a diverse collection of artworks made throughout the pandemic\, this exhibition reflects on stories of place and the desire to remain creative during the lockdown. SUMMARY:2022 Break The Silence - Step in my Shoes Walk
DESCRIPTION:This year’s annual Break The Silence – Step in My Shoes 2022 Walk will be a hybrid event\, raising awareness and funds in support of Yellow Brick House’s life-saving services and prevention programs for women and children impacted by violence and abuse. Join us by registering for our in-person event on November 6\, 2022. Or register to participate on your own throughout the months of September and October by creating your own 2.5 kilometer course to ride\, walk\, roll\, run or jog. Send us photos and videos of your participation to be included virtually at our in-person event on Sunday\, November 6\, 2022. \nHelp us reach our fundraising goal of $100\,000. Every $150 raised will provide a night of safety for a women or child impacted by violence and abuse. Since Covid-19 began there has been a 30% increase in domestic violence. Coming together for the survivors in our community is more important than ever before. \nRegistration is free! \n
