DESCRIPTION:LunarFest invites Markham’s diverse community to celebrate the Lunar New Year like no other! \nLunarFest was designed to be a festival that celebrates one of the oldest traditions for many Asian cultures – Lunar New Year – LunarFest aims to collaborate with many Asian communities and outreaches to other Canadians.\nCelebrate the Year of the Rabit like no other! \nJoin us online for fun activities\, including arts and crafts\, animal conservation knowledge\, and the return of the Lunar Lanterns of Indigenous Lights. \nThe Lunar Lanterns of Indigenous Lights at the Varley Art Gallery courtyard are LunarFest’s way of making connections between the Indigenous cultures of Canada and the biggest tradition in Asian cultures\, the Lunar New Year. Featuring the works of local Indigenous artists\, we invite all of GTA to come see these lanterns light up the new year. \nAll-Age event!\nDetails TBA \n
